Mohamed Ismail Ahamed Kabir Esq. gave life to Dilarshad Enterprise in the year 1981, with a fruitful passion and a vision etched in his mind since his young days as a plantation manager at his uncle’s estate in Kurunegala.
Dilarshad Enterprise set forth on a journey to build up a dynamic Agri business, based exclusively on exports with the diverse tropical fresh produce of Sri Lanka.
In 1989, the Company ventured into acquiring its own agricultural land named ‘Padilihena Estate’ in Bingiriya, 25 acres in extent and a high yielding Coconut Plantation was established.
In 1993, the business ventured into a partnership with the introduction of his son Mohamad Arshad, who is an Attorney-at-Law by profession, wherefore, thereafter infusing technological expertise in to the field of Export-oriented Agri Business and diversified the Company to meet the demand of overseas markets.
In 2016, Paradise Plantations (Private) Limited was incorporated by the partners of Dilarshad Enterprise. Whereas the Company invested in creating a Model Farm focused on Sustainable Agricultural Practices and an Integrated Farming System was introduced. The cultivation of its own Brand of Fruits “Paradise Mango” was established with GAP Certifications totally for export markets.
Dilarshad Enterprise has successfully obtained ISO 22000, HACCP and GMP Certifications.
The Company currently exports Fresh Fruits, Fresh Vegetables, Fresh Coconut & Coconut Products, Dry & Frozen Foods, Floriculture & Horticulture Plants and Resort Supplies.
Export destinations for above produce are such as Tourist Resorts in the Republic of Maldives, Super Markets in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and the UAE and also European Markets such as Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
Dilarshad Enterprise is a member of the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka and is registered with the Export Development Board and the Coconut Development Authority of Sri Lanka and is also a founder member of the Lanka Fruit & Vegetable Producers, Processors and Exporters Association.
